It only lasted a couple of years before it imploded, but the memories live on and somehow have taken on a life of their own.
But back to the script - I took this idea to Tropnest in Sydney and worked on it for six weeks about this woman Millicent, a brilliant musician who played in a punk band and was in love with the bands very charismatic singer. It went into a funding round but didnt get any further.
I had always thought it was a good story and two years ago when thinking about what to make for my PhD film, I again thought of Millicent and what she would be doing now. So, I brought the story into the present day and let it tell Millicent's point of view on the past and how something, done in the heat of the moment, can impact on your life forever.
And it worked!
